This edition of Deathstroke in the House...Ad spotlights a rarely seen DC Comics house ad from 1992 headlined by a half-page pitch for Wonder Woman (1987) Special #1, guest-starring everyone's favorite assassin, Deathstroke the Terminator and featuring art by Jill Thompson. The ad itself and Deathstroke's guest-spot were utilized to promote the upcoming debut of new Wonder Woman writer, William Messner-Loebs. The remainder of the page plugged a new creative team for Justice League Europe (1989) and assorted !mpact Comics storylines and annuals starring updated versions of Archie Comics' old Red Circle heroes (BTW, I strongly suggest checking out Archie Comics' most recent incarnation of superhero titles rechristened as Dark Circle Comics, specifically the Black Hood and Hangman titles). Unfortunately for DC and Archie Comics, the ad was not enough to save the !mpact Comics imprint as it was put out of its poorly-selling misery soon thereafter. Personally, I like to think that it was Deathstroke that executed the contract on the !mpact Comics line.
